The Vision

Seeing Beyond the Horizon by faith

And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
~ Isaiah 61:9

You just don't understand. Then again, you can't truly understand, because you weren't there when this ministry began. You don't understand what I'm feeling.  When I think about eighteen years ago, the ministry started in the living room of my house. And now the ministry is going on in multiple places at the same time.  And then I look, and the house is still almost full. Some of our members went to the opening service at other locations, and the house is still almost full. We're still doing all right. Mother Terry was our church mother at Mason Temple.  We'd call her ‘the drill sergeant'. But she also used to tickle us. One of her memorable phrases was simple yet profound: "Look at God". And her words are fitting, now that we're four separate and distinct ministries, yet all from one source, birthed eighteen years ago in the living room of our house.

LOOK AT GOD!

In 1998, Elder Paul Ajay moved from this ministry and founded Fullness Church Of God In Christ in Beltsville.  In 2006, Elder James Bell founded God's House of Refuge Church Of God In Christ in Lexington Park.

And we're just getting started…….

Other "founders" will arrive (or have already arrived), and will also be trained, equipped and sent to do the Lord's work. The Lord is truly blessing this ministry. We must continue to pray Matthew 9:38: "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."

Further it is my sincere prayer that as we establish these ministries that each pastor embrace the same likeminded spirit and help develop an atmosphere of praise within the hearts of Gods people.

But the hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
~ John 4:23-24

I want us to be the ones that the Father seeks. It's not just enough just to be a part of a ministry; these days everybody is doing that.  Its not even enough being a so called praiser because everybody is supposedly doing that too!  But the Father is looking for those that will go deeper and further than just fleshly or the outward appearance of worship.  He is looking for those that will do so in spirit and in TRUTH.

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height
of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
~ 1 Sam 16:7

He is not concerned so much about our outward displays of righteousness, on Sunday and when we are around each other, but how are you conducting yourself when it is just you and He alone? You do recognize you are never alone don't you?  I pray God that the message resounds throughout each of our ministries, that we must each be honest first and most importantly with God and then with ourselves. If you are not right you have but one thing to do, get right, don't let anything or anybody make you ashamed of bringing yourself to your God that stands ready to straighten you out. No one has a Heaven or Hell to put you in or keep you out of, but God.  He is the one that you want to ensure that you are in right standing with, so your heavenly position in eternity can be secured.

I am grateful to God as I witness this New Community come into existence. "It's a New Season, It's a new Day, and a Fresh Anointing is Coming Our Way". Our Latter Will Be Greater Than Our Past
